UX Design

 

INSTRUCTIONS :

Week 1-2

We are introduced to our module by our lecturer Mrs. Siti Nur Dini Mahazan as well as our project/tasks timeline (might change alot accordingly). the first week wasn't long and only did introduction to some future tasks.

in week 2, we learn about Good UX Design VS Bad UX design as part of the introduction to UX Design.

After that we were grouped with our classmate to make a UX design review and what is good UX design and what is bad UX design. i got assigned to group 3 to review our closest retail store in the campus Family Mart. here is our presentation and review we made on Family Mart

Week 3 - 4

In the next few weeks we had a little breaks and off days and online class. Our Week 3 particularly started in a zoom class. unfortunately i missed the first hour of the online class and only manage to get half of the gist. but we were tasked to make a group for making UX design principles and an individual essay of it.

Week 5-7

Week 5 was Wesak day so we got a day off but in the next week (week 6) we were introduced to Empathy map and User Persona used for interviews. we were later grouped again to do a small task where we go around and ask around about what they know about our upcoming project Vortex Lab Wayfinding. this was meant to be a "practice round" before we prepared our questions. unfortunately i didnt attend the class in Week 7 for the interview but my groupmates has compiled the results so far

most of the questions are available in our Miro 

Week 8 - Week 9

During Week 8 theres a self learning week and im focused on other module as it was compulsory for me to finish it before week 9.

and in week 9 i focused on my major project but has done some progress for the prototype.

Week 10 - Week 11

During the time i had in Week 9-Week 10 i finished up my prototype as well as the first draft video presentation i done. in Week 10's class i also tried to consult about my ideas and Mrs said it was fine but i had to finish up my survey and ask for her opinion.

She said i needed to do some demographics and she noticed how rushed i am during my first video draft and allowed me to redo it in Week 11.

unfortunately i overslept due to tiredness working for my major project and didnt come to our final presentation in Vortex Lab but i did submited my video and the new presentation on the product in week 11.

REFLECTION :

This module is very chill and one of the early ones to finish. im very happy for that as my other modules were very harsh and time consuming, this is one of the modules i can cram during my breaks. however i feel so bad for missing some classes, it wasnt because im lazy its mostly because i overworked myself till i passed out. i had the feel of missing out/fomo in Week 11 for not presenting.

overall i love our lecturer and she was very fun to talk to and chill. the size of the class itself is small but i appreciate everyone, the lecturer, my group and acquaintances. the module itself has teach me valuable things as UX is not the same as UI (which i fear the most) and our task is mostly identyfing and designing.
