ART DIRECTION
INSTRUCTIONS :
In this module, we are making some kind of remake of the popular game Among Us. we're expected to work together to make a better outcome for the game Among Us. My teamates are Cerene and Zi Yi. Our progression is on the miro board.
Week 1-2
In the early weeks we're compiling the pros and cons of the current among us game and also playing the game to have a better insight and we came up with the good and bad art direction presentation below
Week 3-4
In the following weeks after the art direction we prepared for out initial goal and we came up with futuristic cyberpunk style along with the style we wanted, instead if jumping on making concepts we want to make sure we have a clear direction for the art style we're looking for.
Week 5
Design Proposal
Week 7
After doing some data progression, im in charge of doing character designs and i combined my initial character draft (more humanoid) with Cerene's (Abstract and similar vibes to the original) and Zi Yi's (Robotic)
Week 9
after 1 week off, i was told that the sketch is ok and i can continue making the shapes, i added 3 colors as an example. i recieve a few feedback from my peers and continue with with the given feedback
Week 10
With the corrections for the shapes i have, i continue making the shapes with color.
my peers choose 6 out of 9 shapes and prefer the color turqoise so much and i was given some feedback on the colors
Week 11
after the shapes, i was told to do color correction with the remaining colors and color variations for the designs
Week 12
I did more color correction based on the feedback and added expression my peers have given me and 1 color with different shapes, along with sketching the attacking scene
and this is the sketch for the attacking scene, but my peers told me to hold it on and continue to do more color correction
Week 13
This is the almost the final week so i have to speed things up and come up with the stickers design so i came up with a few prototypes along with the progression of attacking scene.
i got a few feedbacks about the some of the stickers being too small and the details too. i think it's fair enough since this version used Clip Studio Paint assets and brushes i have.

Week 14
this is the final week to finalize everything before presentation and finally my peers are satisfied with the stickers, Cerene helped me with the color correction bit
and i did finish all of the attacking scene, there were feedbacks but i speedran the assignments to catch up with other assignments
i did 3 attacking scenes but i only want to showcase 1 for the blog
Week 15
and finally, our final week and presentation is here. about a day before i helped with the impostor revealing scene and added some backlight to it and also placing the characters on the environment
REFLECTION :
Experience :
Overall its quite a journey working with the people and the concept i can follow, i really like cyberpunk and neon colors because they're so gorgeous, everyone's been helpful and i feel like after this i know what should i do for teamworks and obviously communication is important
Observation :
pay attention to details and of course not just the aesthetics but also function, like some of the concepts i almost put cannot go into because it will be small or crunchy for the mobile viewers so i always have to think about that before the execution, not just the aesthetic
Findings :
i find myself back in AI in the early weeks and i learn a bunch of stuff thanks to Cerene, even though i still ended up doing it with CSP but i manage to get the shapes right and i think i learned about teamwork and revisiting an old program i haven't use
