VIDEO AND SOUND PRODUCTION [ EXERCISES ]

 

Week 1 // Exercise 1 :

In our first week, we did an editing on premire pro, it was assembling the cutted parts. suprisingly easy and i learn a thing or two about Premire pro, i had a bit technical issue because my Premire pro is 2019  and not 2020 version but i manage to ge it done.

We are given homework, similar to the previous one but it's not in order, because i haven't update my Premire Pro, i have to sort it out the slower way

Week 1 // Exercise 1 Homework :

Week 2 // Exercise 2 :

In this week and exercise, we have to edit some shots based on the storyboard we're given. It was a short film called Lalin and they re-shot it.

the original scenes and clips still have the ' Take', 'Action' and 'Cut' and we have to get rid of them by making in and out points

this time i updated my Premire pro to 2020 version

Week 2 // Exercise 3 :

in this Exercise, we must shot a diffrent kind of frame size for videos or animatics

• Wide shot
• Frontal MCU
• Frontal MS
• Extreme Close-Up shot
• Close-Up shot
• Profile MS 
• ¾ angling MCU shot
• Over-The-Shoulder MCU shot  
• Eye-Level Medium-Wide shot

i had no model since in my house, i feel like an individual because i can't count on the people in my house (SMH) 

so i called in my bf to help out.

I directed how the frame work and also be the subject

Week 4 // Exercise 4 :

In this week we have another shooting exercise, we have to take a WS, FB eye level shot, MS, MCU, CU and ECU. There's a supposed to be a low angle WS but i forgot to take it the shot. This exercise is a group exercise.

Week 5 // Exercise 5 :

some of our exercises were previously editing a Lalin shot but this time we have to add a beggining and end credit scene. i didn't know it's a 30s so i went back to cut some shots in this video

FEEDBACKS

Week 2 : I have some shots that was about the wrong angle and over the shoulder shot that i mistook it as anything else

Week 4 : I only have a short camera problem, and missing low angle shot from this exercise

REFLECTION

Experience

It turns out im not that good at video directing and i fully accepted that, furthermore shooting was exhausting for me physically and mentally. But my experience with this sem has some ups and downs. i can say the least i learn editing with premiere pro a lot

Observation

I previously dont use Premiere pro a lot but it turns out it's easy as using after effects and i could say that i improved using it for just simple editing, because using AE can be a bit too much

Findings

I think there's a lot i can learn but i think shooting wasn't for everyone. But then i found that theres a lot of angles i can refrence when making storyboards from this module.
