Illustration and Visual Narative [ Vormator Challange and Vector Landscape ]

 VORMATOR CHALLENGE

We have to create a character using 8 given shapes. This perticular character has to have a story. then follow up with trading card design.

Inspiration and Ideas :

Recently, i have been playing among us with my online friends and it gave me an idea to make a monster that can shapeshift and fool people just like an impostor?

but to do that i have to search an animal that can camoflauge other than chameleon and i remembered that theres a certain type of octopus that can camoflauge called Thaumoctopus mimicus.

Progress :

The colors were based on the pallete, but i tweaked some with tone curve since some colors doesn't look right somehow.

I later started to work on the background using one from the exercise. Even if its a space theme, i want to make the meteor and the planet looked colorful.

After this, i proceed to make the trading card. I was really confused for the card design since none of the available templates are apealling to me, So i decided to draw one based of Legends of Runeterra.

The Vormator is done! meet Sjello, a space jellyfish that can shapeshift to stab you in the back (just like an impostor). Their Health is 5 and Attack is 6, quite average..

Vector Landscape Illustrator

For this assignment, I choose one of the sketches i did from 5 landscape exercise

At first, the sketch was supposed to be a sunset or night mood, but i found a pallete that i really like and decide to implement it, even though it changes the mood to mid day.

i was really confused how to color the mountain not to make it dark like the others so i made it pink. and i also add a sun with an available pallete. i tried to make it as aesthetic as possible
