DESIGN PRINCIPLES [ PROJECT 1 ]

SELF POTRAIT

For this Project we have to make an art of ourselves. I have done some self potrait before in the past but the art form was always on the current mood.

Self is our basic personality or nature and who you are, and Self-Potrait is self representation through art like painting, photography, etc.

i wanted to make a simple one so i started to analyze what makes me myself and i ask some of my friends. before sketch i look for some refrences (+my old artwork) and these are the refrences i collect

The green haired girl was my artwork and sailor-moon belongs to Narawangsa, the rest i found on pintrest (credits to artist)

The idea of my self-potrait is How i can be drowned in thoughts and also can blow a fuse since i have short temper and based what my friends said, the flower that represents me is Dahlia, Camellia and Hydrangea.

FEEDBACK

Ms Maria said the circle was too abstract and suggest to make a circle with a flower and burning smoke since i also a bit temper-ish person

Ms Maria also said the upper part (Supposed to be Wysteria ) was abstract and hinder the smoke

i still have some struggles with photoshop so i use Medibang + a little bit of CSP. after the painting is done, i move to photoshop for a little bit of color correction and use smudge tool to make a ocean wave.
